ITINERARY
Day 1 – Drive Arusha to Tarangire.
08:00hrs You will be picked up at your Arusha hotel by your dedicated Safari Driver Guide and drive to
Tarangire National Park to arrive at your lodge in the early afternoon.
Lunch in the lodge.
16:00hrs Depart for an afternoon game viewing drive in the park. The park is the sixth largest national park in Tanzania. It is famous for its high density of elephants and baobab trees. Visitors to the park can expect to see large herds of thousands of zebra, wildebeest and cape buffalo. Other common resident animals include waterbuck, giraffe, dik dik, impala, eland, Grant’s gazelle, vervet monkey, banded mongoose, and olive baboon. Predators in Tarangire include African lion, leopard, cheetah, caracal, honey badger, and African wild dog.

Day 2- Tarangire National Park
Full day in the park with morning and afternoon game viewing drives. The oldest known elephant to give birth to twins is found in Tarangire. A recent birth of elephant twins in the Tarangire National Park of Tanzania is a great example of how the birth of these two healthy and thriving twins can beat the odds.

Day 3 - Tarangire to Ngorongoro
After breakfast depart and drive to Ngorongoro climbing to the altitude of 8,000 feet. You continue to ascend to the exterior of the crater reaching its rim and here your first glimpse of what has often been referred to as the “Eighth wonder of the World.”
Visit the Olduvai Museum. Olduvai Gorge the ‘Crater of Mankind‘ is world famous for the Archaeological discoveries made there by Dr. Louis Leakey and Mary Leakey.
Lunch in the lodge followed by an afternoon at leisure
All meals and overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge or Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge
Day 4 – Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast descend to the floor of the crater for game viewing drives. Often described as the ‘Eighth’ wonder of the World, the Ngorongoro crater is so spectacular, a natural sanctuary for over 25,000 animals, including the black rhino. It is also a conservation area inhabited by the Masai tribe.
Picnic lunch will be served at one of the designated picnic sites on the crater floor. As the sun sets on the western side of the crater rim, ascend and drive to the Lodge to arrive in time to refresh for dinner.

Day 5 – Arusha & Departure
After breakfast, depart and drive to Arusha for a farewell lunch at Arusha Serena Hotel or Arusha Coffee Lodge compliment of your Safari host, Afio Mai Africa Safaris
Later you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your homebound flight.
